Who remembers "Streets & Boulevards" (kids' game)

Way back in grade school (ca. 1973), we’d play a game called “Streets and Boulevards”. You’d have a chaser and a chasee. The rest of the class would form rows by standing arms outstretched fingertip to fingertip forming “streets” when facing you and “boulevards” when turned 90 degrees. The chaser would chase the chasee up and down the streets and then the teacher would yell “boulevards” (or vice versa) and the other kids would turn 90 degrees. This would go on for a few minutes until the chasee was caught making the chaser the winner or not.

This game was probably called something else depending on where you live.

Hmmmm. Just me then.

Okay.

No, I vaguely remember playing something like that too. But not an awful lot and I can’t remember what the name for it was. Feel better now?

Uh, yeah, a tiny little bit.
