I’m not. It wasn’t going to happen because it would have been incredibly illegal; there is no wiggle room about it. If it had happened, we would already be talking about bipartisan agreements to have Trump impeached.
In fact, they did engage in election interference in a manner that worked on you. They didn’t need to actually go to the polls; they just had to make you think they might or could in order to scare people.
Eh, by the end of the day on January 6, 2021 I was convinced Trump was going to be impeached. It didn’t happen. I just don’t take it as a given that Republican politicans or the American people as a whole will necessarily care when Trump does something incredibly illegal. Or that anyone will respond to Trump’s actions quickly enough to prevent damage from being done.
Maybe its a sign that the Trump hysteria was exaggerated, and that Trump/MAGA are not the American equivalent of the National Socialist Party circa 1933?
Jan. 6 was a real thing that happened. The Americans shot dead in Minnesota were real people. The human beings shipped off to countries where they had ever been before are real humans. There’s more.
Thanks to making various public threats against fair elections for months, Trump/MAGA met determined resistance against outwardly rigging the election – almost all of it in the courtroom and through pre-emptive actions.
Otherwise, I have no doubt that the Project 2025 crowd would have been happy to assume the National Socialist mantle 93 years on.
