Who runs this site: http://www.afgha.com ?
Is it an “official” source run by someone connected to the Northern Alliance?

Well, according to http://www.samspade.org, it is registered to the following:
Afgha
Pierre De Paepe
14, rue des Eperroniers
Bruxelles,
BE
Phone: 003223748837
Yahoo recognizes the site in its (hand-made) directory.
Looking up “Afghan Resistance” in Google brings this site up as #1 hit, which is rather telling - Google works on the principle that if lots of other web pages about the Afghan Resistance link to this page, then it is probably the home page of the Afghan Resistance.
Interesting site.
Found this by searching Google groups:
Afgha.com
This organization is close to the Northern Alliance, the heterogeneous
coalition opposed to the Taliban and led by former Afghan president
Burhanuddin Rabbani and the recently assassinated Ahmed Shah Massud.
Provides detailed information on the events in Afghanistan and a mailing
list.

Posting phone nbrs? Hmmmm.
Anyway, try my ISP, http://www.redshift.com find their WHOIS, enter the name of the site you want info on & youll get your info. That whois page is the best I know, it gives info that other whois’s do not.
Uh, Handy? Your link doesn’t work.
[sub]either that or I am a victim of a “Whoosh”.[/sub]
you can’t use the network tools at his ISP’s site unless you use that ISP. Whois returns the info that DarrenS gave above.
The last part of a tracert is
if-6-0.core2.Paris2.Teleglobe.net [195.219.15.237]
Vlan2.msfc2.Paris2.Teleglobe.net [195.219.14.68]
195.219.53.98
blackd-cbv-1-a0.routers.proxad.net [212.27.32.216]
afgha.com [212.27.35.89]
so it probably is in Europe
cheezit, sorry, it should work for everyone. The only thing is, they seem to have taken down there whois page. Nuts.
http://turbo.redshift.com/ alternate URL.
Slight hijack. If handy’s ISP is Redshift, either he lives relatively close to me or Redshift has expanded their operations recently
handy -
That phone number is for the administrative contact of the web site, and so is public record. I see no problem with posting numbers which are already public.
