Who said it? In which film?

Do you know where the quote came from and who (actor) said it in what movie?

I’ll start you off with a toughie (I think)

"I told you not to turn that radio on. If that battery goes dead, it’ll have company.

WAG: Someone in Speed?

Try again. It’s a much older film. Extra points for another quote from the same film.

Then post a quote yourself.

White Heat.

My quote…

WELL! This place a regular geographical oddity, ain’t it?-- two damn weeks from everywhere.

oops…I left out the actor.

James Cagney

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou.

My quote : “Deliberately buried. Huh.”

Well done Euty.

I’ve got one:

"When they attack the car, save the radio!

“Deliberately buried. Huh.” is from 2001, concerning the monolith buried in Clavius? crater.

My quote:

“You don’t like Beethoven. You don’t know what you’re missing”

But don’t go bumping into no hippo…makes them awful mad!

I could be wrong, but I think this is Leon (aka The Professional depending on the cut); said by a man who played Beethoven.

Here’s a tough one : “Time is your god, if you are its dog. We are the creators of time, the victims of time, and the killers of time.”

and an easier one : “I’ve got an idea …”

“I’ve got an idea” spoken by Michael Caine in The Italian Job…?
“Why don’t they just call him Girl George? It would save a lot of confusion.”

Far away, So Close?

Apologies for abandoning the thread … pkbites is correct with Faraway, So Close! (That scene was inexplicably missing from the American theatrical release; I knew it existed, but hadn’t seen it until I got the DVD recently).

Looking at it on paper, “I’ve got an idea …” is too generic (so samarm probably was right) – thinking of how it sounds in my head made it seem easy to me (I was thinking of Time Bandits).

You should’ve said, “I’ve got an idea, forming in my head.” That would definitely be Time Bandits.

Now, since you robbed me of my chance to get it (I knew it!)… I’ll post me a line anyways…

“I have a horse. And four wives.”

Little Big Man?

How about, “Yes, but you suck at it.”

yes
