I keep hearing these two songs on the radio. I really like them, but for some reason, the DJs on my favorite stations seldom say who the singers are.
Song 1, the refrain has a male and female voice, the male shouting, the female singing:
M: Wake me up!
F: Wake me up inside
M: Can’t wake up!
F: Wake me up inside. Call my name and save me from this life…
M: Wake me up!
F: Wake me up inside
M: Can’t wake up!
F: Wake me up inside. Save me from the nothing I’ve become…
It has a portion where the guy is doing some sort of spoken rap while the female is singing in the background.
Song 2 I don’t recall that much, only that it’s a slowish song, and the refrain begins with the line “If you cry, I’ll wipe away all of your tears.” The next line ends with a similar promise to “chase away all of your fears.”
The first song is Bring Me To Life by Evanescence.
Side note: The male voice in that song is provided by the lead singer of the band 12 Stones.
Don’t know about the second song.
First one I know to be “Evanescence”…
second I believe to be them also… but not sure on that one
The second song is “My Immortal”, also by Evanescence. Both are on their latest album, Fallen, although neither is particularly representative of what the album sounds like.
Well, I guess I’ll be picking up that album next time I’m in Best Buy…
Thanks, all.
If you like it, be sure to check out Lacuna Coil’s Comalies. You’d probaby have to order that one online, but it’s worth it.
Yep, they’re both on “Fallen,” as well as both being on the Daredevil movie soundtrack. But I’d sooner recommend the Evanescence album. They are two of the more interesting songs by that band, although singer Amy Lee has a lovely voice regardless.
