I am trying to figure who sings this damn song, and internet searches have not helped. I know someone here must know…here are some of the lyrics. It’s from the 70’s.

Ring any bells? We’ve had guesses of Captain & Tennille, Helen Reddy, and Peaches & Herb. (Not a lot of work is being done today, as you can tell).

That would be Maxine Nightingale. It did sound a lot like Captain. & Tenille, though.

I agree it was Maxine Nightingale. The song, Right Back Where We Started From, peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1976, in the USA.
