Who the heck is Mark Jackson? (Isaac on "The Orville")

Mark Jackson plays “Isaac” on the TV show “The Orville,” the artificial life form who functions as sort of the Spock/Data character on the show. His voice sounds VERY familiar. Yet his IMDb bio gives very little data as to where I might have seen/heard him before. It does hint at him being “an accomplished voice over artist,” so perhaps I’ve heard him on a commercial or somewhere else non-IMDb-able.

Anyone know? Thanks!

He talks a little about his previous acting work in this interview.

Whether intentional or not, he sounds a lot like Data to me.

I think he sounds like Alan Tudyk doing a Data impression.

And he claims it’s just him doing an American accent.

He’s come a long way since* “Energizer! Oi!”* phase.

He sounds more like the robots that Mr Burns replaced the employees at the nucleon plant with on the Simpsons. (granted Brent Spiner played them as well, but they felt more soulless than Data)
