Who the heck is Pete? (x-html header)

I don’t know if I should say this in public…

::looks around::

…you know, when you are setting up spam filters, so you’re looking for things that spam emails have in common that help differentiate them from legitimate emails…

So…I am curious about this very useful header. Who is Pete, as in

<!x-stuff-for-pete base= etc…> ??

From what I’ve read on Usenet, the x-stuff-for-pete tags are inserted by Eudora when it processes HTML email. Try looking at some legit HTML-formatted messages, and you may find it there too.

I’m not sure, but apparently, it’s all his fault :smiley:
