I have no particular dog in this fight, but i just wanted to say that you could have enticed people into your thread by being a bit less of a dick.
Instead of barging in and saying “Perhaps none of you have seen it. Otherwise, I’ll assume you’re just hypocrites,” you might have said something like: "I’ve just started a new thread in GD about violating the copyright of open-source software. I’d be interested to hear opinions from people who have supported, or refused to condemn, copyright violations in this thread.
