Who was the first woman to cross the Atlantic east-to-west solo

This might look like a GQ question but I suspect that most of you don’t actually know. I only came across her story this week. What I would like is for anyone who is interested to post who they think it was, before they look it up.

Wild guesses: (a) a European but (b) not Amy Johnson, I suspect. Beryl Markham?

That would be my guess, but it seems too obvious.

Wikipedia says it was Markham.

Yeah - Markham née Clutterbuck. She had an amazing life. She was only the second person ever to do it.
