Well, really, I couldn’t vote, so nobody.
Mrs. Underwood, who knows everyone in our community.
There was a Democrat and a Republican giving out sample ballots. (The Republican made a crude remark to my girlfriend while I was inside voting.)
There was a big, friendly German Shepherd tied to a tree.
He approved my participation.
Outside, loads of people handing out stuff and presumably keeping an eye on each other and the 100-foot rule.
Inside, I had two challengers from each of the two major parties, with occasional challenger-attorneys stopping by. I could never quite figure out what they were, actually, because their presence put them over the limit of two-challengers-per-party that we have in place here. They insisted they were a different sort of animal. They were the least of our worries and they weren’t causing disruptions so we didn’t make an issue of it.
