OK, maybe Kaine is boring. When you’re picking a VP candidate, you want boring. This is especially true when you’re already ahead in the polls, and don’t want to rock the boat.
Kaine Pick Won’t Help Clinton Win Over Anti-Wall Street Critics
Again Clinton shows her allegiance to Wall Street. Many people dismiss my observation that her son-in-law owns a hedge fund with Gold Man Sacks CEO Lloyd Blankfein and tried to insider information over Greek Bonds from Clinton, but this shows Democrats are the party of the one percent.
Well, when you can’t even spell the name of the firm you’re talking against, it doesn’t help your argument.
Alternately, if your idea of debate is 5th grade humor… also doesn’t help.
Assuming for the sake of argument that you have a point, what’s the point? Am I to recoil in horror from a candidate who could hypothetically get bought off by a rich guy to do his bidding – so I can rush into the arms of a rich guy who does his own bidding?
The worst-case scenario is that you’re right and it’s, like, a tie – but while Clinton might say ‘no’ to a Trump type, it’s always true that Trump is already Trump?
He has no point, other than that Hillary is the Devil. It’s his one and only drumbeat, and always using that childish Gold Man Sacks meme.
Sure, but – she’s the devil because she does the bidding of guys like Trump? It’s like that ad on THE SIMPSONS, where they patiently explain that, since Mayor Quimby was too easy on two-time felon Sideshow Bob, we should vote for the other candidate: Sideshow Bob.
PCP, you were told to stop with that ‘Gold Man Sacks’ stuff a few days ago. Yet here it is again.
Warning issued.
I’ve never seen either one debate. Where are you getting your evidence for those claims?
And let’s remember that Bentsen’s team lost the election, so not sure how that tells us anything.
Excellent speech by Tim Kaine in Miami. I’m truly excited about this ticket.
Second that. I had no idea, all the press said he was boring. Well, he demolished that in short order. He is an excellent speaker, easy to listen to, optimistic, but tough on Trump. His life story is compelling and consistent, and tailor made to go up against Trump and Pence. His lifetime of service and experience as a mayor, a governor and a senator is a stark contrast to Trump’s life of privilege and fraud. And to top it off, his son is a Marine who is just about to deploy to Europe to defend our NATO allies! How does it get better than that, to counter the Trump idiocy that we should withhold defense of our NATO allies if they don’t meet his demands.
I’m much more confident now that this is going to be a gang-buster campaign, and Trump is not going to know what hit him.
Concern trolling. He doesn’t think it’s a problem, but thinks liberals might think it’s a problem and so wants to bring it up to discourage them from voting.
Kaine’s speech impressed the hell out of me.
Is there video online yet? I just got home so I haven’t had a chance to watch or listen.
You can’t call other posters trolls - even concern trolls.
Warning issued. Please don’t do it again.
Well, but you can save a lot of money by cutting out the middleman.
The Republicans are calling Kaine “corrupt”. Claiming he took money from unnamed sources while governor. What could they possibly be talking about?
Bob McDonnell, I believe. Perhaps they’re confused.
That explains why Trump would prefer to do whatever the hell he wants instead of paying someone else to do whatever he wants; it would save him a lot of money. Would it save me any money? Would it save you any money?
Again, this is all assuming that’s true; I can hold out hope that our republic may yet be saved, since a decent presidency can ensue at any moment from someone who turns down Trump’s money – or pockets it, but then does the right thing anyway. But in the worst-case scenario, where Trump gets what he wants either way, then what difference does it make to me whether it costs him a good chunk of cash to do it?
This. Which was legal, not that they’ll care, of course.
