Who would you like to see cover what song?

I’ve always thought that it should get a proper heavy metal treatment. The Aerosmith cover does the job in terms of being down ‘n’ dirty, but I’m not sure it was quite ‘hard’ enough.

Metallica, maybe?

Bob Dylan – Stuck in the Middle With You

Just to confuse people further.

So…I was at the grocery store, when it occurred to me…

Aerosmith didn’t cover Helter Skelter; they covered Come Together. And did a mighty fine job of it, too.

That is all.

Just One Me as a Louis Armstrong / Ella Fitzgerald duet.

Dare to Be Stupid by Stereolab.

Back in the USSR, covered by William Shatner.

‘Oh Darling’ sung by John Lennon. I believe either he or McCartney once said it was better suited for Lennon’s voice. As great as it is, I think John would’ve knocked that one out of the park.

Heh! I’d like to hear Stuck in the Middle With You done duet style by Steely Dan and Asleep At The Wheel.

Damn you for putting that in my head. That is so true.

I wonder what a Monkees version of Sugar, Sugar would sound like.

This reminds me of another William Shatner cover. I think it was supposed to be a serious performance, but I thought it was hilarious.

AC/DC’s “Ride On” would have been perfect for an older country singer like Johnny Cash.

I’d still like to hear Willie Nelson do it.

Yeah, and Emo it up, it really is a dark topic.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow covered by Christopher Walken.

AC/DC should cover ‘cats in the cradle’

I’d give that one to Alice Cooper or Jim Croce.

yeah - alice cooper doing it would be an interesting take for sure.

I want to hear Prince do PF’s “Dark Side of the Moon”. Or Prince do White Stripes “Ball and a Biscuit”. Either would be smokin’

I’d like to hear Kelly Clarkson’s take on “Loving Him/Her was easier (than anything I’ll every do again)”, the one that Kris Kristofferson sang. I think she’d do a great job on it.

Maybe he’s done this already and I’m not aware of it but I’d like to hear Elvis Costello cover a Warren Zevon song (just so long as it’s not “Werewolves of London” but I’m sure Costello would know better).

Again, maybe it’s been done, but I always thought Elton John’s “Take Me to the Pilot” sounded like a perfect song for Joe Cocker to cover.

Bowie covering Three Dog Night’s “One”

Danzig covering Smashing Pumpkins “Bullet with Butterfly Wings”

Elvis covering Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll”
