Whoohoo! I "won" a Fark photoshop contest.

Failed Board Games

Yow! At the top of the polls, and the voting appears to be over, as the thread nears the bottom of the page. Of course, I’m only ahead by one vote – close enough for Florida, even.

Mundane? Yeah. Pointless? Definitely. But I still feel the need to do my happy dance.

(I’ll leave aside that it was a quick knock-off based on an already tired net-cliche, and that stuff that I’ve put too much time into has made little impression.)

Um… “wOOt!” Or something.

Nifty, Larry. Do you use Photosphop, or Gimp, or one of the other ones?

(I know, that’s like asking what type of camera a photographer uses, like it really matters. I want to know your preference, not out of some idea that I’d do them that well if I had your software. Sorry, bit of a photographer peeve there. I’ll just shut up now, this bit in the curlies is now longer than the rest of the post…)

Go in a Circle and Connect Two are good too. They did a good job on the Uranium layout, pretty seamless.

And if you get to speak in tounges, so do I:

Um… I was, like totally “Huh?” untill I like, saw the bottom. Then I felt, like, stupid for not figuring it out without the caption.

It looks like you’re in 2nd place right now. If I had a login to Fark, I’d vote for you.

Especially because the game ahead of you “Speed Chess” really does exist and I’ve seen it played. And the picture isn’t even particulary cleve.

Some of there are harsh, man. Being someone with a black sense of humour, I couldn’t help but laugh a little at “North Tower Jenga”, but it is of course rather inappropriate. I did like the French version of Risk: cracked me up, despite the tiring stereotype.

I saw that one last night, Larry, but didn’t make the connection till just now, when you actually made it for me.

I was going to ask what your name was over there, and then I saw it and had a gigantic “OH MY GOD DUH I’M A MORON” moment.

Good job on the photoshop, but I’d appreciate it more if I was more into the cliches.

Wikkit, I mainly use photoshop, but I like to use just about anything.

Coldfire– “North Tower Jenga”, which is pretty darned harsh, was a reference to the Salon.com article, Forbidden Thoughts on 9/11.

On a side note, that’s not the response that I find most offensive-- that dubious honour goes to:

What the hell? Apparently this woman still holds this opinion a year later, in spite of having plenty of time to familiarize herself with the wide spectrum of people affected. People who were her neighbors. What a fricking sociopath.
[/end of WTF]

My favourite games in that Fark thread are “UN” (fairly subtle,) and the inexplicable “Abe Vigoda’s Magical Land of Macaroons.” It slays me. And “WHOSH*T?” makes me giggle, too.

It’s one of the only fun stereotypes I know. (I might feel differently about it if I were French…) Here’s my submission for a “Photoshop Lance Bass being trained at NASA” thread. Yeah, I love the Mustard Man. And I’m proud that he’s Canadian. Go figger.

Larry, what’s the story with that mustard guy? I read Fark once in awhile, and see him a lot, Who is he, and what’s the story behind it?

What happened Larry? The naked guys sliding across the table did clinch it for you?

;D

Stupid emoticons

Boscibo, here ya go.

You can see the Mustard Man in The Tuxedo with Jackie Chan. (Haven’t seen it yet, myself.)

I did see him in Men With Brooms, although I doubt that it’s been shown outside of Canada. (It’s at the leading edge of the Curling comedy genre.)

World Eater – Naked sliding guys, clinching it for me? Are you trying to get fresh?

Congrats! I’ve only bothered to make a grand total of two Fark photoshops ever, and I think maybe 1 or 2 people that weren’t my friends voted for them.
