Whooo ... whooo is this owl?

In downstate, rural New York, we have a new resident in our woods. Kind of sounds like a barn owl, but different from sound samples I’ve found and vague recollections. Could it be a baby owl? A really confused catbird?
Here’s a 40-second clip; calls are at about :05, :17 and :30.

It sounds like a young bird to me too, but I’m no expert. What species of Owl? No idea.

Should have added the detail that the calls begin at dusk and continue to the wee hours of the morning, hence my assumption that it’s an owl. Or maybe a sorority chick-a-dee hopped up on vine coolers.
