Well duh. Like I’m really going to leave after… what… 7? 8 years? I’m lucky #36! I can’t just walk away from that! heh.

I would very much like to stay, but if PayPal is the only option then I won’t be.
PayPal has been in our bad books for a long time and we will never EVER do any kind of transaction through them again. With 2869 Better Business Bureau complaints against them in the past 36 months, I’m guessing there are other folks out there who may hate them as much as I do.
I’ll have to say goodbye. It has nothing to do with the subscription fee, just the payment problem.
As soon as they let us mail in a check, I’ll come back. If PayPal remains the only payment option, then I won’t.
I’m pretty sure they said in that announcement that they will accept PayPal or credit cards.
I’m out. Not for the money (I can easily afford it), but because it is not worth the hassle. The SDMB is only my third favourite board right now (the oher two are far more specialised).

I’m not sure yet. It’s not because of the $5.00, but because I probably spend too much time online. And I always have the SDMB on one of my windows and periodically check it. I successfully lessened my TV viewing but replaced it with the 'net. This is definitely the best board out there, so if I stop coming here I would probably cut my computer time more than in half.
I’ll think about it for a couple of more days before I decide.
This place is my escape from boredrom at work (and at home). It’s worth it to me to pay and stay on board. I’ll gladly pay the nominal amount.
As we used to say in the house during marathon poker games:

I was so excited about prepaid credit cards that I forgot what I wanted to say:
I’ve gotten at least $5 worth of enjoyment, so I owe them.
But I better declare an intent to leave so that more people will stay. 
This place has literally turned my encyclopedia britannica’s into coasters & plant stands and stuff.
Definately worth the cost of admission.
I am Farker ( not total fark) and they have a great set up with personal ads/classifieds on the sidelines of the page. Pay a few bucks to get attention to your personal site . If you had an online business, paying an extra $10 or so a month/per ad to get about 5000 or so people to take a look at it would be well worth the fee.
Just a thought.
Another brainfart is, will we be able to post images with the Newly Improved Super Duper Now with Tartar Control SDMB?
( I’m just trying to combine the best of my two favorite places. SDMB’s intelligence and Fark’s photoshops and sarcastic images that show up at the best of times. Is that wrong?)
First, I got very edumacated hear. I tell people about this boards, and there reaction is very good. I here that 4.95 is cheap, but I’m been told that it is inexpensive as well.
B) For less then five bucks U.S.? Oh, deer, that is cost affective.
Third, I have been waiting to really stump the GQ crowd with my ‘gry’ riddle. Can’t wait to lunch that thread.
Fifthly, I love posting answers to medical questions and giving the best lethal bad advice I can. Always doing my part to elimate the dummeys around hear to make the boreds go faster.
