Nah. You can tell she’s not completely self-centered (even if her attachment to Howard comes off as a bit creepy); I’d be happy to support Leonard’s mom as the biggest jerk, though.
I’d have to say Leonard’s mother. She’s obviously aware of the effect her comments have on her son, and when she gets drunk she’s a rip-roaring ass.
Raj would be a top contender this season, but I wouldn’t have said so earlier. I have a hard time picturing Season 1 or Season 2 Raj with the “so long, losers” line in the comic book store, for example.
They actually softened Kripke down a little bit, but I’d still put both him and Wil Wheaton above Raj in the jerk rankings.
The biggest jerk is the one I would never ever want to be friends with and that is Sheldon, hands down. Now I am not saying I would necessarily want to befriend Raj, but I could at least handle it. I couldn’t take Sheldon for a day.
She never did follow up with that specialist in Houston though.

Priya played the sweet little girl to her parents, was dismissive of Raj and used Leonard as her personal sex toy. Her one redeeming quality (shredding the roommate agreement) was instantly negated by her folding and selling out Leonard in the face of Sheldon’s threat.
Quite. However for sheer jerkishness, Leonard’s mom is the winner. She is an absolute horror of a human being. Where Sheldon delights in getting his own way, Mrs. Hofstader delights in destroying people emotionally.
I find Penny to be a bit of a cunt at times. I’d probably pick her as the biggest jerk.
Sheldon is a jerk, but I really can’t blame him. In between the fact that he probably has something aspergers like and that his genius puts him at a level far beyond what most of us are capable of (like a human surrounded by dogs, he once said) makes me excuse his rudeness. Let us proletariat be concerned with being polite and socially conformist and let the geniuses do what they want. I know it is a fake show and everything, but someone as brilliant as Sheldon with an IQ 6 standard deviations to the right shouldn’t have to care about things as mundane as social graces.

I’d have had trouble with this until that episode where Sheldon spoiled Harry Potter for Leonard. That’s something Sheldon himself hates, so there’s no room for it being cluelessness. Sheldon uses his lack of social graces as an excuse to be a jerk.
It’s gotta be Sheldon. He has no manners and is completely self-centered and selfish. I will give his character credit, he is trying to grow socially, but then there was the episode where he purposely spoilered Harry Potter to Leonard. That’s very wrong, like keying someones car.
Not only is it surprising that Raj is getting voted ‘Biggest jerk’ inspite of there being people like Sheldon and Howard on the ballot, it’s also interesting how flimsy and/or non-existent people’s reasons are for picking him.

Sheldon isn’t so much a jerk, nor does he have Asbergers (the series creators have said this). He’s just very very intelligent, which often has some of the same characteristics. Social conventions don’t make sense to him, he doesn’t understand how “normal” people think, because he thinks on a different level.
My own son has some of these features, and we have had him tested all to hell (shrinks, neurologists, diagnosticians). He often doesn’t understand why he should say or do something, and I have to explain that people will think he’s a jerk if he doesn’t. He has to pretend to be normal. He has some severe social anxiety problems, largely because of it.
Sheldon is kind of an exaggerated version of this.
