Not that I’ve ever met a Randy over here, and I don’t think I’ve ever met a Dick, not even an old one. Roger is still a common name, however.
By the way Mister Rik, John Thomas is pretty well out of fashion as an English penile nickname, so I reckon it would probably get less snickering than being called Dick.

I pronounce “_arry” words with a short A (hat), and “_erry” & “_airy” words the same way with something between a long A (skate) and a schwa. There is a clear audible difference. I don’t do it on purpose and I don’t know where I picked it up.
Well, in hat and skate I can hear (in my mind anyway) a difference, sure, but stick those sounds in front of R in these words and it goes away.
