Who's Your Favorite Professional Wrestler?

I haven’t watched wrestling since last summer, but my two favorites are Goldberg who has (had?), easily, the coolest opening in wrestling. I mean, the magnesium flares, that music…damn. Plus the power of that guy - amazing to watch.

I’m also a fan of Kurt Angle. Funny ass mofo, and a great technical wrestler.

And, of course, the Hardy Boys. Because, well, hardygrrl likes 'em. Really, what other reason do you need?

KK…

Small correction-it’s the Hardy Boyz not the Hardy Boys.

They’re wrestlers not ameteur detectives.

And besides, I just like Jeff. Matt’s ok but he’s not as genetically blessed as Jeff. Jeff with those green eyes, the great hair, those sensual lips…

MEOW KITTY KITTY

Those head injuries…
Anyway, my current favorites include
HHH - He’s the man. Can’t say enough about him. People complain about him “holding down the young guys” but he’s done PPV and TV numbers that no one, including Hogan, Goldberg, Flair or Hart ever approached.
Scott Stiener - Sure, he’s a 'roided up monster who can’t work anymore, but he’s nuts, which is a good thing for a heel.
Chris Benoit - We’re on the internet, so someone has to mention Beniot.
My all-time favorites are
Ric Flair - HHH stole his whole act from Flair’s mid-eighties run.
Jake “the Snake” Roberts - He was just too cool for the time period. Too bad what he’s turned into.

::sticks fingers in ears and sings::

I can’t hear you blur. What, you’re mocking my Jeffy? I can’t hear you.

My favorite wrestlers are:

Lita!!! 'Cause her arial attack is the best among North American women wrestlers. Plus, as Trish says, 'She wears her pants way too low." I say she deserves to wear her pants anyway she wants.

Matt Hardy: His mat wrestling, as well as his arial attack, is very very solid.

Chris Benoit: what you have seen in Raw and Smackdown this past week, he performs like that every time he steps into the ring. To him, those were everyday masterpieces.

The Rock: in addition of being the best talker currently in the business, his repetoire of moves is always expanding.

Kurt Angle: nobody in pro wrestling ever adapted as fast as he did. Hr already established himself as one of the best five talkers in the business.

Mick Foley: long live the King of Hardcore. The most human person ever in wrestling. His speeches can penetrate the soul as well as any preacher can. He admits that he lost a lot of athletic ability in the past few years, but his matches can weave stories that anybody can follow. The WWF misses his presence a whole lot.

About Hulk Hogan:

I wish I have some tapes of him in Japan. He was like blonde Godzilla there. I mean he was tearing up stadiums like Terry Gordy and Stan Hansen. Too bad he showed only glimpses of it back in the States.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I never caught his ECW work, but his matches in WCW were always entertaining. When he fought Stevie Ray (Another excellent wrestler) in a best of 5 (Or seven, or three…my senile mind can’t remember the exact number), each and every one of the matches were excellent. He knows a shitload of moves and counters, he has no problem taking mad bumps, and he sells both offensively and defensively. He’s versitle enough to change his style from brawler to technical, and everything in between, depending on who he’s facing.

Oh, and just in case someone hasn’t seen this yet, go here and checkout “tables and ladders and chairs…oh my!” Talk about some Holy Shit! moments.

Dick the Bruiser

(Anyone else remember him?)

Sealemon, I believe it was Booker T, and not his brother Stevie Ray that wrestled The Crippler in the best of five series.

Kane and the** Undertaker** are two of my favorites and I think Goldberg could be a real good wrestler in he can develope another finishing move.

Old school guys, the American Dream, Dusty Roads was one of my favorites growing up and yeah, I liked early Hulk Hogan, mid to late 80’s he ruled the sport.

My all-time favorite, Andre the Giant, how could you not like a guy 7 feet, 5 inches tall, 500+ pounds.
Rock, Foley, Austin, HHH and Angle all deserve a mention.

You guys on this board really know your wrestling!!!

I thought he was great, but I loved him even more in The Princess Bride.

“Go away, or I’ll call the Brute Squad.”

“I’m on the Brute Squad.”

“You are the Brute Squad!”

(Now I’ve done it… this will become another “Quote stuff from TPB” thread…)
