"Whose Line Is It Anyway?" returning

Are you trying to get this moved to the Game Room?

They did that on the American version, too.

I thought I recognized one of the recurring characters on the new show “Nashville”, it turns out Chip Esten is now going by the name Charles Esten for serious acting gigs.

He was billed as “Charles Esten” in the WLiiA credits.

Looking at his imdb page, he’s “Charles” most of the time, using “Chip” just for Whose Line and related shows, and two appearances on Hollywood Squares.

Awesome news! It won’t break my heart if Drew Carey doesn’t return. He was, most definitely, the weakest link.

I saw them live a few years ago, and it was marvelous. I ended up on stage moving Ryan around in a “human props” segment – fun because I’m only an inch shorter than him, which he’s not used to.

I’m seeing them the day after tomorrow! Also, that day I plan to eat lunch near the only hotel next to the theater, because hey, you never know!

I was pleased to get to see their live show a while back, and I hope to again - but it seems like all their currently planned dates are West Coast.

March and April seem to be missing from their calendar, but I know they’re on tour during this time - I’ve got tickets for their show in Lincoln, NE in April.

They’d have to get further east than that. I wonder why the website isn’t up to date?

We saw the live “Whose Line Is It Anyway” in Las Vegas several years ago. It was a frickin’ hoot. I’m glad the show is coming back.

Update: it turns out that the show consisted of Ryan Stiles and three randos that I’ve never heard of before. Apparently they perform in Ryan’s theater in Bellingham. So I guess that’s why there are no tour dates listed for Whose Live, because the main group isn’t touring right now. Hugely disappointing. They were funny, but not nearly as funny as Proops, Davis, Esten, and the rest.

Bumped.

Proops has a new book out, and talks about it in typically funny, rapid-fire style here: Comedian Greg Proops is LIVE on AOL BUILD talking about his new book

Tony Slattery!

Yeah, I wasn’t impressed with Drew when he actually participated in any of the sketches. I thought he did a good job at the desk, though (better than that English guy did. Or maybe it’s just that I didn’t get that English guy’s deadpan delivery).

My sentiments exactly. As a host/moderator, he doesn’t need the same skills as the other performers do. I think he got along with them just fine. It was the censor that caused the most disappointment.

Ooh, I can share this. Whose Line, all of it, available for free streaming, legally!
