Whose Live Anyway

Did you know Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten, and Jeff Davis have a touring improv show? I didn’t, until I saw a billboard a couple of months ago. So I immediately did some digging and got a ticket. So tonight, I get to see Whose Live Anyway!

Whose Line (American Version) was one of my top five favorite television shows of all time, in large part thanks to Ryan Stiles. I am super-excited to see the show this evening.

Oh my god. Oh my god! I had no idea this existed and it’s in Charlotte TOMORROW!

When does it come to Boston?

Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood have a show that tours too: schedule

I’m amazed Colin and Ryan didn’t team up. I suspect they’re probably sick of each other by now.

My understanding is that A.) Ryan doesn’t want to tour as much as Colin and Brad do, B.) Colin and Brad have been doing their two man thing for a while, and C.) yeah, though they’re good friends, Ryan’s been doing improv with Colin for decades.

The show, by the way, was excellent. 90 minutes of hilarity. I had a 4th row seat. I laughed so hard that my head still hurts.

I wanted to go last Thursday, but I had something else to go to for a class that evening. I love Whose Line (both versions) and really wish I could have gone.

They need to bring back Whose Line on TV again. One of the funniest shows ever.

Obligatory Richard Simmons appearance link

We had once looked into hiring Ryan Stiles as a spokesman for a promotional campaign. It got scuttled when we learned that Ryan won’t fly. I wonder if that fact has anything to do with the fairly limited tour?

**
YES. **

I do not care how long TV Humor will exist as a Medium, Richard Simmons on Whose Line will remain in the top 5.
**
PERIOD. **

I found a thread on Simmons’ appearance right before going to bed. I took my laptop to bed with me, to watch it.

I Was laughing so loud, that I thought for sure I would wake my parents sleeping in the room across the hall, through two doors.

Great to know they are still out there, if not in pieces. Too bad Georgia gets the Shaft, again.

Then how did he get to the UK to do the British version of the show? Slow boat?

Do they do “Sound Effects” in their live shows? That’s my favorite bit. Nothing like demure older women doing sound effects.

“woooooooooooooooo!”

That would be great live and a fun way to get the crowd involved.

I just want them to sing a song about me to myself.

Oh god, I laughed until I cried. I mean, it was dumb and adolescent, and yet I howled.

There is just no way to explain how funny that clip is when you don’t expect it. It was just this regular episode of the show, and this happens.

You can see the crowd just *dying *while watching it.

I showed it to my boyfriend and he didn’t even crack a smile. He stopped it halfway through, even. Meanwhile he thinks I have no sense of humor! He loves Tim and Eric, who have to be the most boy-stupid juvenile comedy team in the history of unfunny.

Could be. He has flown in the past, but it scares the hell out of him, apparently.

Dump his ass.

ABC Family airs two episodes of Whose Line nightly - 11pm/1130pm central. We DVR it and watch a bunch on the weekends. They’re back to the first season, for the most part.
