Seriously. Read the advice here. You’re misusing these boards. Each forum has a very specific purpose. This is not a Usenet-style free-for-all. If you’re going to participate here, you need to understand the environment and follow the rules. This is not an anarchy. It is highly structured, and we like it that way.
And if you insist on continuing to, metaphorically, shit on the living room and cook over the furnace, I will cross my fingers that the appropriately strict moderators do exactly what they don’t get appreciated enough for doing.

exactly, tomndeb, fuck off. i’m not looking for a grade on how i type. also, i do not need a board that is more in tune with me this one is just fine. i’ve been here a few months and make one mistake last night and look at how quickly i get talked to like i’m some silly kid starting shit. i’ screwed up and all i wanted to know is why i was being threatened with being banned over posting in a wrong forum. i enjoy this site and if any of you have seen anything i’ve ever posted i’m rather kind and try to be helpful. last night was the first time i’d ever even been to the bbq pit. i generally dont like shit talking over the net.
i see the need for moderators, but not strict overbearing pricks that worry over things such as capitalization. i’m sure my point is still getting across.

Bindrah, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that your little episode last night occurred while you were stoned into near catatonia. If you recall (which you may not) your triple thread in GQ attempted to start a discussion on the best way for recreational prescription drug users to cut out the middle man. You then started some bizzare GQ thread about anger control and another thread in GQ complaining about having your drug threads closed.
For an encore, you staggered over to the BBQ pit to open not one, but two, threads demanding to know why the moderators wouldn’t let you treat GQ as your personal litter box.
Your antics were mildy amusing while you were on your binge. Now they’re not.

You can take this advice or leave it, but when I see a post with no capitalization, bad spelling and punctuation, and no paragraph structure, I’m not impressed. Usually, I don’t even bother to read such a post, but when I do, it’s only to laugh at the dumbass who posted it.
If you can’t take the trouble to compose your thoughts so that they’re readable, it’s not worth my time to read them. It’s a matter of courtesy, as far as I’m concerned.

I sure don’t get this post. I’m a newbie here too, about a month newer than Chanticleer. When I first started surfing the board, one of the first names that I began recognizing was tomndebb–partly because he (? IIRC) was posting in quite a few of the same threads that I was interested in, but mostly because his messages were consistently educated, thoughtful, and readable. And maybe I am missing something, since I mostly hang around GQ and CS, but I have never seen “hypercritical” from tomndebb. I look forward to seeing his posts because it usually means that I am about to learn something interesting. So why the hostility, Chanticleer?

You then opened this thread to whine some more, despite having the previous thread already moved here for your enjoyment. Further, you continue to pretend that the issue the Moderators had with you was a triple post. With the way the board has been behaving, recently, I am pretty sure that no one really cares about a triple post. The actual issue was clearly your persistent posting of four separate threads (one of which was coincidentally tripled) all in the wrong Forum.
Were my comments about capitalization and so forth a bit sarcastic? Sure. On the other hand, I did give you the out that you were simply in a hurry. I was not commenting on your posting skills so much as your need to express your hostility. (You are the one who posted that you were just too lazy to conform to normal grammar and style.) Ok. I see and understand what is being told to me. I m an idiot. Ferrous, thanks for the slap in the face, i truly needed it. I am very literate and bright, but I’m also high on painkillers so my thoughs are a bit muddled and hazy.
Truth Seeker, I imagine I do seem a tad bit dumb. However, I cannot see what antics I’m up to tonight, none thus far. I will admit that last night was not a good night to have been trying to post on this site.
For the record I do not use drugs in front of my children and I do not act as ridiculous as I post. In all honesty I feel rather silly and childlike. I apologize for wasting space and in the future promise to only post what is worthwhile and interesting.
