Being “sensitive” towards Islam isn’t at all the same as liking it. And I note you completely ignored the point that left wingers don’t “hate Christianity”.
What about 9/11, air port security, I think you have this one backwards bro.
9-11 was a pinprick compared to the scale of the entire country. And airport security has little to do with Islam except as an excuse; it’s security theater, not a real attempt at security. It’s about American politics, not Islam.
Absolutely.
The fat boy talk show idiots are somewhat to blame for raising the level of noise. Even the less educated of our “enemies?” listen to radio and surf the web.
If something out there can be used to incite action (demonstrations, strikes, riots or worse) they can induce the mullahs to sermonize about it to the illiterate, who have no way of rationally evaluating the situation.
Women in the majority of the muslim countries, Jordan perhaps being one exception, have no choice; they do what their male family members tell them to do, as told to them by their religious leaders.
In Jordan, even, I have seen more and more burka wearing girls than there used to be, so the extremists are really gaining traction in the region.
Every whack job in the US or Western Europe who can put something offensive out there (legally and with full constitutional protection) is a potential instigator of violence to Westerners, especially Americans abroad. Incoming rockets and small arms fire as a constant environmental concern are not comforting.
Getting back to Der Trish’ post, I am involved with the “political security” but where I work it is reaction to real life, not politics.
