That’s fascinating. I know of a couple of maple sap spirits but I didn’t even know palm sap was a thing let alone a widely consumed spirit. Now I have to try and seek it out.
Palm can be made into feni, though maybe more well known is the variety made from cashew fruit. The plant is kind of weird, the nut is semi external.
