Some are like that, but some others are convinced it will be a genuine landslide. One was asking this week, in full seriousness, whether Trump could carry California or not. (Most of his fellow posters were still grounded enough in reality to tell him no way.) Others cited some Helmut Norpoth election model that shows Trump carrying the state of New York.
Maybe that is why, they are just going to threaten or kill people who dont vote for trump.
The other day I heard some MAGAs interviewed saying that they lie to pollsters. So they don’t believe the polls.

For sure one can find plenty of message boards where the enthusiasm – and confidence – remains undaunted. OTOH, I checked in to one of those (sports oriented) message boards the other day and found that the main election thread had been ominously quiet for a couple of weeks, only to have been recently re-opened with some posts qietly expressing concern about the polling.
One poor fellow posted that he couldn’t understand the contradictions he was experiencing. Everywhere he looked were signs of Trump enthusiasm, packed rallies, truck rallies, boat rallies, yard signs, etc. But then he looked at the polls and couldn’t reconcile the contrasts.
It seems that an enormous percentage of conservative message board posters and news story commenters are routinely polled several times a year. It’s a statistical miracle, I tell ya. And they all lie to the pollsters.
The idea that rich people are smuggling kids around for illicit purposes (like Epstein actually did) or that businesses are a front for illegal activities aren’t ridiculous on their face. The lack of any actual connection to the Clintons or any evidence of the smuggling (including things like ‘the Pizza Parlor doesn’t have a basement’) require at least some looking into. It’s clearly not real, but the surface story is something that could happen - human trafficing has happened in the US in recent years, after all.
Someone being executed for treason in the US has never happened. A shadowy group having such strong evidence that execuction is guaranteed, but no prosecutor or court having any of the evidence to start a case now doesn’t make sense even if you assume that Biden committed treason and there’s strong enough evidence that he’s sure to be executed. And the president can pardon treason with a stroke of a pen, so threatening the president’s kid with a possible treason conviction doesn’t make sense.
To me, there’s a big difference between ‘this story is something that conceivably could happen, but there’s no actual evidence and big holes in the story as soon as you look’ and ‘this story doesn’t make sense without looking into whether any of it is true’.
To me, the people who will believe one story are the ones who will believe another. They want to be lied to.

I was talking about treason against the United States, not state charges. This is also absurdly pedantic and completely ignores my earlier post where I was much more specific in what I was talking about, so I’m not going to keep on responding after pointing out the inaccuracies. If you think I need to reiterate an overly long, specific statement every time I refer to a given concept in a topic, I’m not interested.
I explicitly mentioned this earlier, and a reasonable respondent wouldn’t need me to specifically call out ‘not in martial law’ in every post where I reference the concept.

OTOH, I think it’s pretty clear that if Trump was elected and this iron clad proof of Hunter Biden’s horrifically treasonous misdeeds existed, an execution would not be out of the question.
Which immediately raises the question of why this sure-thing trial and execution have to wait until after the election. If Trump had the evidence he could do it yesterday or 6 months ago. That would certainly discredit those darn Lefties! Somehow that didn’t happen.
Yes, I understand that this particular CT requires the “Socialist wing” to have the evidence, not DoJ or Trump. But those folks could certainly be coerced, or simply bribed, to cough up the info.
I think it is pretty clear that the Deep State and its lackey Bill Barr are what is preventing this from happening now.
So now Bill Barr is on the outs with Trump? Damn! The action in this game is so fast it’s harder to follow than Chinese table tennis. The announcing is equally inscrutable too. 
An important thing to bear in mind indeed. The polls can be wrong (or misleading) again in the same manner. Plus we expect even more suppression before and during and legal shenanigans after the voting.
Hell I’d wait until the EVs are certified.
That is exactly what the talking points of Trump & Co. are all about right now. Make it so that the MAGAs will refuse to believe he could lose fair and square.
(And in the process, establish as a baseline that there is no such thing as winning or losing fair and square and it’s all about who’s the wiliest and whose followers’ wrath do the weaklings in office jobs fear most)
Having to say: “Happy Holidays” which respects all winter celebrations rather than their preferred “Merry Christmas”. Will the suffering for these unfortunate white, wealthy, “Christian” voters ever end??? Sure, a whole race of people (well- they were not sure about that designation for a long time) was enslaved for years and are often still denied equality - - - but being sneered at for saying Merry Christmas is a far worse fate for some of them.
As a white male of privilege, I am disgusted by people who manage to make minor inconvenience into a catastrophe. I will have more to say once I read the entire thread, but I cannot believe that anyone considers that particular matter of any importance but I hear it every year. It is already starting this year.
I think this is at the root of why they are the way they are:

These people desperately need to believe they are not the colossal losers that they are. They have gone so far down the rabbit hole that they are “better” they simply cannot bring themselves to admit they were wrong. They just keep doubling down. They have no concept of being able to accept that they were wrong. They will argue with you that 2+2=5 and never stop, never be swayed from their conviction. Their psyche is too fragile to handle that.
My vote is that this year we switch to saying “All Holidays Matter” whenever someone talks about the War on Christmas.
