So if I read these right, at the moment you have sound for everything but YouTube. Is that right?
When you say that YouTube doesn’t work, is the video working correctly and it’s just the sound that doesn’t work or is YouTube completely out of your reach?
If the sound (only) isn’t working, I am forced to ask if it’s at all possible that the volume slider on the YouTube player is all the way up (where “up” is to the right.) Sorry if that seems elementary, but I have to ask.
Lare, njtt, and everyone else who helped – thank you very, very much for talking me through all this clearly and patiently. I am eternally grateful – and the eternal gratitude of a mod is not a bad thing to have.
Seriously, y’all kick all kinds of ass and I can’t believe I didn’t post this question a year ago.
So I can say something outrageously against the rules about Marley and you’ll undo my well-deserved banning?
(Not that I would, I have nothing but respect for him. I just want to know how much advantage I can take.
Mod name chosen at random from those who don’t seem to be at the center of any controversy when last I checked.)
I’m actually embarrassed that I didn’t offer the suggestion sooner, but I’m glad we got it fixed.
BTW, part of the problem might have been that “USB Speakers” have a USB sound card built into them. If you had them plugged in via USB then Windows might have been trying to use the wrong sound card.
