Well, pardon me for posting this here, and I know this isn’t a tech support board, but I’m at the end of my rope…
Whenever I download an AVI file to my computer that’s been encoded with RealPlayer (I have a Mac, BTW), it tells me that it needs to download “additional software” to play it. Alright, that sounds fair enough. But THEN, when I “OK” all it’s requests, RealPlayer either quits unexpectedly (An “Error of Type 3 Occurred”) or just freezes up, and crashes my computer! Could anyone here could offer any advice, or anything?
Well, thanks for putting up with my annoying post,
Ranchoth
In fact, it seems it WAS DivX compressed…I finally managed to hunt down the proper extension for my system, and the downloaded files are working perfectly now.
Go figure…first Circuit City, then me. Does DivX ever STOP causing people trouble?

(Yes, I know they’re two different things. )
