Indeed you are not treated like a customer. You’re treated like a rational, intelligent member of a group. Yes, the administration sometimes has a knee-jerk reaction, but you’ll find that more often (oft?) than not, they are willing to listen to clear arguments and will reverse a decision if it’s appropriate. In the meantime, you can think of it more as a temporary injunction.
