The front runner is this bad boy. It has six burners. The grate over the two middle burners can be replaced with an included cast iron griddle. The oven can be used normally, as a broiler, as a convection oven or an air fryer.
I love, love, love the convection feature of my oven. I didn’t even especially want it, it was just what was available on a well-rated range that they had a store model of or something. But I decided to try it since we had it.
I’ve never actually used it for baking, but oh boy do roasts come out better with convection. They cook much faster, with a nice brown exterior and a juicy interior. Frozen fried potatoes are also better with convection.
I feel like if I had a griddle, I would make pancakes more often. With the pans I have now I can only cook one pancake at a time (I guess I could theoretically cook more if I put one pan on each burner, but I don’t like to dirty more pans than necessary). I put a cast iron one that goes over two burners on my Amazon wish list because I wish I had one.
I made pancakes tonight on my long oval burner griddle. I wouldn’t get a stove JUST for the griddle, but while it has one, I use it. Mostly for pancakes and hot dogs and grilled cheeses. French toast is such a pain and I’m the only one who eats it. I’ve tried burgers but I haven’t been able to do them properly. I just broil them instead.
I find this really hard to believe. Even if they include frozen waffles and French toast sticks. That just sounds like PR fluff put out by Big Pancake.
Do you have great/grandchildren? Ours will eat frozen waffles 5 days a week and pancakes on the weekend. It’s a conspiracy, they all do it. Nutella is the prefered spread. Thankfully they also eat fruit and they all like scrambled eggs but for them it’s 365 days a year. I will admit to scarfing a waffle or two on occasion; or two occasions.
