Why do I sweat after a shower?

Hello Everyone,

I live in Florida, so it’s hot. I just took a shower this evening and then steeped out onto our porch and I was instantly covered in sweat. Why does this happen? Is not underarm sweat, but am all over body sweat? Is it the humidity reacting with left over water on my skin?

The hot water in the shower causes your skin’s capillaries to vasodilate, so you have more blood flow near the surface and you just don’t notice the sweating in the shower probably.

When you have hot shower where it is really steaming than get out of hot shower in 90 degree weather or 100 degree weather it make it more hot than it is.

Yes even 70 and 80 degree weather can do it too!!

Best way is to go out side get really hot than go in the shower and use it as cool shower to cool off. Get out of shower where your house is bit chilly. Than hour or two later go out side or turn you AC at warmer temperature.

Never go in shower when you chilly or warm you just have hot steaming shower. Go in shower when you all hot and sweaty!! Your be more likely have cool shower to cool off.

This is what I do.

I find when I have shower and get out and it warm I sweat more. If I get out of shower and it chilly in house I don’t. And after hour or two than I’m okay with 90 degree weather or I can turn AC up so it is not running all the time. Or open window to get some warmer air.

When don’t you sweat?

Perfect post/name combo.

I have this problem whether I take hot or cold showers. I’m also in Florida.

Hmm…That’s not what Sweat210 says.
