Why do Message Board users.......

…write incomplete subject headers?

You know…‘Onions’
Instead of:
‘Why do onions cause our eyes to water?’

Which would be a full sentence and give all of us a chance to decide if we knew the answer. Of course, a subject of, ‘onions’
doesn’t really let us do that now, does it?

Maybe they don’t want to pimp the question before they ask it. They’re trying to make the headline a ‘grabber’. Plus, if you ask it in the header, what do you have left for the message itself?

Sorry, this is just a test

Or…We used to be limited to a certain amount of characters. I’m not sure how that works here. Plus on this rare occasion I agree with Ian

is it just me, or are there two posts at the top of this thread that aren’t by the originator? also, there seems to be a problem with the “topic review” the only post listed there is Silent Bob’s. Weird.

** eggo, ** you and I must be hitting the same thread titles, and you’re quite right, ** Silent Bob ** must have been working on the search engine and wanting to try out his ‘putz’ smiley face.

This is a thread that is so old it goes back to our earliest days in cyberspace.

The imitation Silent Bob resurrected it.

Thanks a lot, loser.

so what’s the deal with ed and handy being listed as “guest”? Is it somthing the troll did, or is it just that when these posts were made, they realy were guests?
does anyone else see the two “testing” threads at the top, or am i going insane?

eggo
In the posts carried over from uBB, everybody before a certain date/time is considered a guest. This is not something the troll did.

You know, for some bizarre reason, this thread makes me want to break out my best Rex Harrison voice and sing:

“Why can’t a user be more like a mod?”

(But I think I’ll just lie down until the feeling goes away.)
