Mama Goose to Papa Goose: “Why do the humans insist on walking in nesting areas where there’s lots of geese?”
Temporary duty?
TDY is explained in Temporary duty assignment - Wikipedia.
My feelings are encapsulated here:
Why do people hate on Canada geese?
They are notoriously bad tippers?
[short version] My dad and happened upon a dead momma racoon (road kill) with the baby circling her. We took it home and I raised it until it became 44 pounds of sheer assholery. Oh the stories I could tell. Then one day it escaped out the backdoor, jumped the back fence, ran down the ally, jumped over the neighbors fence and promptly killed their ginormous German Sheppard. Cops were called, the racoon climbed the nearest telephone pole where said cops shot him off of it.
Very traumatic for my young self.
Dang. I’m sending a hug back through time.
We were recently on a mini vacation in Spokane, WA. We did a big walking loop around Riverside Park and on the north side of the river we happened to make it past a pair of nesting geese that starting menacingly hissing at us (we didn’t see them until they got all pissed and we were trapped). Problem is we were now trapped on a dead-end past these motherfuckers and had to go by them again to get back to the path. I wish I had a baseball bat because they were now agitated and were doubly pissed that we wanted to go by them again. Lewiston, ID and Clarkston, WA is starting to blast the year round non-migrants and I understand. I’m a live and let live kinda guy, but these geese are too much.
