I knew a cop who was a single mother. She was shopping with her baby in a stroller and someone started to walk off with the stroller and baby. The guy was pretty surprised to see a 9-mm pistol pointed at him.[sup]1[/sup]
He claimed it was just a joke but she told him he could wait until they got to the station.[sup]2[/sup]
He sure picked the wrong mother to play a joke on.[sup]4[/sup]
Notes:
OK, I made up the part about her drawing down on him because the story sounds better that way.
I made up that part as well. What good is a story if it’s not amusing?
There isn’t actually a note 3.
I’ve admitted most of the story is made up, please don’t ask for my IP to verify who I am.
Yep. Lotta pathetic people out there, esp in apartments. I had a nice coat (not really expensive or lavish, just “nice”) stolen from the apt laundry facilities that couldn’t have been in there more than an hour total (including drying time ie couldn’t have been stopped for long). POFSs.
Back when I lived in NYC, a woman who lived next to me went to the laundromat with ALL of her clothes (she waited until the last minute, as usual) and was only wearing some jogging pants and a t-shirt. She had five washers going, went next door for coffee and came back before the wash was finished. Made no difference. Someone had stolen all of her wet clothing from the washing machines and vanished.
She literally had nothing at home (I think she later admitted she had a prom dress/bridal gown hanging in there) and had to go out and buy everything new.
