Why Do Soldiers Tuck Their Ties In?

Most Gunnies I know have a rudimentary command of the English language and know how to compose a sentence properly.

Poser.

I was all set to make a tranny joke, but now I ask seriously, “blouse” is the correct term in the military?

Yes, sir!

Shouldn’t someone who calls himself marinetothebone know how to spell corps?

Specifically, the “blouse” is the part of the service/dress uniform that a civilian would call a business suit’s jacket or coat. (BTW, it has become a dated term, at least Army and Marine Regs have adopted more current language style and now refer to the Class A jacket as a “coat” rather than a “blouse”).

In Army and Marine regs, a woman’s shirt is called just that, a shirt.
