Er, that should be Iris West II, the daughter of Wally West, not Iris I, Wally’s aunt.
And of course there’s some characters who are clones of others, or that characters from an alternate universe, such as Peter Parker and Ben Reilly, and Kara Zor-L and Kara Zor-El, who’ve taken up superhero-ing under a different name and costume.
And they say comics are too complicated to get into. Hah!
Naming a character Wallace West? I love it! (Did I see a Kane a while back also?)
I’m glad I stopped reading comics back before things became so damn complicated. I just had two continuities to keep track of, one that showed up very rarely.
There are currently two Kanes active in the DCU, both of whom have connections to the Batfaily - Bette (Firebird) Kane, and Kate (Batwoman) Kane. (Who are new versions of Kathy and Betty Kane, the original Bat-Woman and Bat-Girl.)
You’re forgetting Bob. He had some tenuous connection to Batman too.

Wait, what? I know there were imaginary stories in which the young Wonder Woman was “Wonder Girl” and even “Wonder Tot,” but I thought even with the mistaken creation of the Donna Troy WG and the multiple reboots of the Donna Troy character that they were always entirely separate characters.
I was referring to the mistaken creation of Donna, but got a bit too clever about it.
I don’t know if the Diana as Wonder Girl stories remained canon for Earth-1 Diana, pre-Crisis (i’ve never read Wonder Woman but the begining and end of v2 and the new series), but the newer versions Diana’s origin, as told in the first issue of WW v2 and retold in a recent issue of 52 make no mention of Diana as Wonder Girl (at least that I remember - it’s been a while since I read it, so feel free to correct me if I misremember her v2 origin), so Diana-as-Wonder Girl is gone, with Donna as the only remnant.
Yep. Think of him as the Dread Pirate Robin[sup]TM[/sup].
Youngsters?
Batman: Robin the Cradle…
Has it been mentioned that Donna Troy operated as Wonder Woman for awhile? Or currently, depending on which book you’re reading?
Also, one of the Starmen Tengu mentioned should be Danny Blaine, not David Blaine. David Blaine is a publicity-seeking nut who most recently was rescued from a giant aquarium that he nearly drowned in on national TV. In real life, not in a comic.
From memory, as I can’t find my copy of How to be a Superhero at the moment:
Superhero (pointing to young lad): “You, boy! I want a word with you! How’d you like to come back to me at my place, put on this skintight outfit, then practice wrestling moves and stay up all night looking for hot action?”
Cop (pulling a gun): “Don’t move a finger, @$$hole…”
(Cop hauls hero away. Kids make derogatory homophobic remarks)
Oops. That’s what I get for going off memory, instead of looking it up. <_<
I also misspelled Anissa Pierce’s name. Pretty badly.
