Why does cheese make me sweat?

Good grief. To make it clear even to dimmest reader, when I wrote:

I meant that it should not cause the symptoms MENTIONED BY THE OP IN THIS PARTICULAR THREAD. Not that it couldn’t cause any symptoms in any person anywhere at any time. I wrote in the context of this thread. Which is what people always do.

In case that’s not obvious enough for anybody,I even followed that up by acknowledging explicitly that tyramine was implicated in headaches and migraines. And that’s because it’s actions in the body and the mechanisms by which it can cause problems are well known.

And the fact that these mechanisms are well known is the reason why you can’t simply go out and and dump every symptom a person ever gets on tyramine, even though that’s exactly what the more idiotic links in that Google search do.

Which is also explicitly the point I made before. And the point I made implicitly at the beginning of this very thread, when I said that lactose intolerance was real, that dairy caused lactose intolerance, that the mechanisms for lactose intolerance are well known, and that sweats are not one of the symptoms. You can link to a Google search and pull up lots of idiot threads giving weird symptoms that are attributed lactose intolerance. But they are wrong.

I hope that some of you will be take this as a lesson on judging food intolerance threads on the internet. Never go top down, i.e. starting from the symptoms. Always go bottom up, starting from the mechanisms. This is a field that is important to me, as someone with lactose intolerance who has to deal with the enormous amount of misunderstanding about dairy. Make all the accusations you want, but I’m still going to continue to give you accurate information and condemn any posts or links that don’t make a positive contribution.

Cheese louise, you really milked that one
