Why does eating cheese make me sweat?

I’ve only noticed this recently while eating a particular brand of extra sharp white cheddar. I haven’t yet tried a different variety of cheese to know if it happens with that, too…

I usually lop off a piece to put in my lunchbag that is 2 to 3 oz, to snack on because I’m on a high protein, lo carb diet. I notice that by about the 2nd or 3rd bite, my face has broken out in a sweat. Why?

It’s just cheese. No irritants like capsaicin or the aromatics found in mustard or horseradish are in it…

Do you feel guilty for eating the cheese? Are you afraid that your parents are going to walk into your office and take your cheese away?

Could be tyramine sensitivity.
Sharp, aged cheeses contain more of the stuff than do wimpy soft cheeses.
