“One Life to Live” is probably my favorite long-running soap opera, but over the past year the image quality has taken on a grainy, very “digital” quality - it almost looks like you’re watching a Realplayer stream or something.
I’m familiar with the look of consumer and even professional DV, and this is a different type of graininess and digitality.
What’s up with the show’s look? Neither “All my Children” nor “General Hospital,” which follow it, have the same appearance.
According to the current wife’s soap opera digest OLTL is usually at #5 or #6 among the top 7 soaps. They’re probably cutting costs and cheapening up the video in low-end markets. Let me guess, it’s up against Steve Wilkos?
