The Hoosier State does not imprison first-time marijuana offenders (and I have never been caught for a drug offense), nor do I use any controlled substances other than reefer. Age has caught up with me). If caught for possession of 30 grams or marijuana or less, the worst I would face would be fines, mandatory drug counseling, some jail time (probably a few days at worst as I work) and six months suspension of my drivers license. The penalty would not be much for possession of a greater amount would not be much more severe as this state has a problem with overcrowding of its prisons and jails. And I rarely own much more than an ounce of dope.
I assume other states offer much the same penalties or lesser penalties since Indiana is a pretty conservative state.
