Why does traffic travel in herds?

I ran into the Commander in Chief of that brigade.

Not only was he driving at 10mph on the highway (2 lanes each way at that point), but he had a sign that stated:

“I am driving slowly to conserve fuel. Pissing you off is a bonus.”

He was certainly doing both. To advertise the latter is the height of the “holier than thou” crowd.

Do this at 2PM, or 10PM, but not during the prime commuting hours… the last thing we need is anything causing a jam, that frustrates some moron behind you, and causes a real issue. (he’d technically not be responsible, but should be the first against the wall)

I’d say more, but a quick look says this isn’t the Pit.

In L.A., traffic doesn’t travel in mere herds. It travels (if it travels at all) in mass exoduses (or is that exodi?).

BTW, interesting article Terminus Est.

I believe the correct formal term is “wolf pack”

Ah, the irony!

Yeah, it’s funny - I was thinking "would stampede describe LA traffic? Then I realized that stampede implies fast. :frowning:
