I think it boils down to more that is was two different subjects in the end.
Who would be VP choice when it started as wide open and narrowed down to a few.
The second subject being that it is Governor Walz.
Also as I pointed out in post 15, it was already mentioned in thread that a new thread should probably be started.
I probably messed that up or at least delayed it by using the title of the VP choices thread to update the unraveling events of that morning.
Your edit is fine by me.
I prefer continuing the new thread if it’s one I’ve been participating in, and starting a new thread if I haven’t participated but now would like to. If everyone could just check with me first, that would be best.

Snark aside, it’s understandable that if someone has been involved in an ongoing thread for a long time, and there’s a significant change in events, they’re likely to be aware of many interesting and relevant points that have been made in the thread and want to see it continue with all the prior context preserved. Someone coming in for the first time places no value on that context because they don’t know anything about it, and is more apt to wonder why the discussion isn’t in a new thread.
Thee’s no right or wrong here, just different perspectives.
