You complain about others “depending on the government tit,” yet you yourself have sucked at the military government tit for, what, decades? Isn’t all your medical care covered for your whole life? I don’t grudge you that, but why must you scorn others who chose a path in life different to yours?
I’m as self-made as any person you’ll ever meet. I started with nothing and I did all right. My husband took a job with a large company so we could have health insurance, and I could pursue my self-employment. He died unexpectedly. I was left with options very similar to @kenobi_65. I had a couple of minor preexisting conditions and that was enough for greedy health insurance companies to schmuck me off into “high risk” insurance. You don’t want to know what that cost per month. I could go on about what a racket it was, but suffice it to say that I cried with relief when Obamacare was passed and I finally had some protection from predatory health insurers.
You could learn a lot on this message board if you wished to, but I suspect you’re just here to gloat about your piece of shit president and how marvelous it is that you can now believe yourself to be superior to the rest of us with your racist, misogynistic white privileged views.
