Why have so many Ligne Roset stores been closing?

Roset has had a string of showroom closings in the past two years, including Las Vegas, Long Island, Paramus and Washington, D.C., among others. The closing of Houston and Austin are the latest of these closures. In the last two years, twenty-one Ligne Roset showrooms were open in North America. However, with this string of closures, only thirteen Ligne Roset showrooms remain open in North America.

Anyone know why? Was it the economy? If so, why didn’t other high priced furniture go under, like Design with Reach or BoConcept?
