I like that idea.
We’ve had boxes left on our front steps (which isn’t ideal) as we go in and out through the garage most of the time. I’ve also had them leave it behind the shrubs by the front door - presumably because that’s less visible from the road. Of course, it means it’s less visible to us. The other day, though, they left it on the driveway, right beside the garage door.
None of the several dozens of items I have ever ordered from Amazon required a signature. They just leave the package at my door, and I get an email that it has been delivered. The same goes for all of the other sites I order from. I actually can’t remember the last time I had to actually sign for a package.
What really pisses me off about UPS is they just leave the boxes out in the rain and don’t put them in plastic bags like they used to years ago, and once I called to complain about it and they told me their is not even a system set up to report a driver.
