Why I don't spend much time in GD

I’ve posted in GD a couple of times, but every time I do, someone comes along and either asks for a cite (isn’t it obvious I pulled that number out of my ass, numbnuts??) or proves me wrong by being correct… I hate when that happens!

no, no, he’s merely a heathen dabbler! – a cheesemaker is obviously a specialist. Besides, I’m not sure mozarella qualifies as cheese.

so Scylla, stop pretending, you will be blasted by the true (old testament) cheesemakers, who I personally look up to in fear.

I’m afraid we’re stuck with most of these threads. It’s the nature of the board. We’re here to combat ignorance and much of the ignorace out there is the same. Someone will come to GD saying that Evolution violates the second law of thermodynamics and they need to be pummeled with the facts until they are willing to even consider another viewpoint. Then a month later somone else comes in with the same faulty idea.

Eventaully, most of these debates will be completely automated. There will be one server somewhere on the internet dedicated to randomly generating Creationist claims while another computer will be dedicated to posting the counter argument. Thus the debates will rage on without the average poster having to lift a finger.

Quite simply they should be told to consult with their local cheesemaker (and not any heretical or semi-heathen dabbler in inferior cheeses such as a not to be named mozarella maker who has tried to associate himself with the true cheesemakers, who I fear.).

To Collunsbury: Thank you sir. You are obviously an intelligent and enlightened person who as all the qualities of the finest of cheesemakers.

To everyone else: What the hell is he talking about???
