I love LL Bean and their clothes. I haven’t had the awesome experience as others have – I bought a blue skirt and the hem fell out of it, and I was unable to find thread to match to fix the hem. So when I repaired the hem, the stitching showed and I’m not good enough to make it look right. So I called them to ask if they could replace the skirt, and they said it was no longer available. They didn’t offer to repair it, or replace it with a similar item. Oh well. I still have it and wear it, and it bothers me that the stitching shows. I doubt that people are looking at me and pointing and laughing, but I wish they’d at least sent me some thread.
There’s an L.L. Bean store close to me. Every December I pick out a couple of things, try them on to be sure they fit, and then tell my mother so she can order one of them from their catalog as a Christmas gift. It works out great.
Dingdingding! It was one of the first places I could find decent clothes in tall sizes. I wish flannel shirts would come back; I really liked theirs.
