Also my cell phone wouldn’t work, when I tried to make a call it said “Emergency Only!”

Fleet Week is in October for us and I didn’t really think my phone issue was connected, it just seemed funny. I still don’t know why it did that, the phone worked fine when I got home, just a few blocks away.
Could be practicing for some event connected with Memorial Day. That’s this coming Monday.
There’s also a big hullabaloo planned in a few days for the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The USS Iowa is supposed to depart the bay area sometime this week for her new home in the Port of Los Angeles. This could be connected.

This weekend. Sunday, May 27th. They’re closing the Golden Gate Bridge from 9-10 pm (and perhaps a little longer around then) for a fireworks display.
I’ll miss it with a couple of days, then.
I saw a trio of them flying in formation (pretty low, too!) in Mountain View. Moffet field is nearby, so I’m used to seeing planes coming and going, but its usually cargo planes.
