I don’t know if its weird but I’m amazed at the number of Germans I’ve met in the US who speak better English than most Americans do (even manage to get the accent right).
My guess is that the lack of Italian cannibals is related to the superior quality of normal Italian food.
Even Germans find that irritating, at least the one I had lunch with a couple of days ago, but on the other hand she has lived in Sweden for the last two years and got accustomed to what it’s like here.
But the only difference between Sweden’s opening hours and the quoted German ones is that the shops in Sweden open for five hours on a Sunday, if you are lucky.
