My website statistics show an alarming drop in visitors. The Straight Dope has quite a few less posts.
So, was I right? People should have updated w95/98 before Y2K came & they did not so now they can’t log in?
Being a Sunday, you’d think a lot of people would be on the net. But computer stores aren’t open till tomorrow, so we shall see, shall’d we?
There are still many people who are away on holidays who dont have to be back at work until tomorrow or Tuesday. Tomorrow things should pick up.
How many people are you showing? My guess is that only 200 people post in any one week.
Hmm… I haven’t made a study of it, but I have this little web page about how to get the most out of old laptops. It doesn’t get many hits at all (not that I have promoted it much) but the day after Christmas, it got the most hits ever. (I wondered if this was because a lot of people got laptops for Christmas!) Then, I had another “big day” of visitors on the laptop page on New Year’s. So, go figure.
I for one have made a New Years resolution to spend absolutely no more then 45 minutes a day wasting time on this computer, no matter if it’s on the boards or in chat. I’ve been making lists of all the stuff I need to get done and I’ll be more successful if I work on my projects instead.
Perhaps others have done the same?
