Why is this happening with Google?

This just started this morning; whenever I punch in a serach term in Google, the results all come up as shopping websites.

What happened to my Google?

Google seems OK to me. There’s a link under the main search bar for the new “froogle” search - which is the shopping search engine. It seems possible that you could have highlighted the froogle link somehow.

It’s also possible you’ve got some sort of google hijacker on your machine. You might want to run adaware or spybot.

Froogle isn’t new, by the way.

and although I love the anti popup software with the Google toolbar, it makes me fume when Google supplies popups of their own. Maybe this is what you’ve seen?

Google does not have any pop-ups of their own. You probably have some adware installed.

Google is losing ground to companies that have learned how to optimize page ranking. I see stuff like the OP more and more each day.

Could be spyware, etc. But maybe not.

It’s “Google-spamming”.

Okay. Just to update. What is happening is that when I punch in a search term on Google, the computer freezes, then all these ad sites come up as results. By the time you get to the second or third page, legit sites pop up.

But even more alarming, the same thing is happening with ALL of my search engines!

I pointed this out in a thread a couple of months ago.

It’s the rising tide of worthless advertising crud on the internet.

Thanks!

Interesting enough, if you click on the second page of Google, you get your intended search!
